Below you will find some information that will help prepare your contribution. Please follow all guidance to ensure a smooth and engaging session for all participants.
Language
All presentations must be delivered in English.
Preparing Your Presentation
Presentation Format:
- PowerPoint and PDF presentations are allowed.
- Preferred aspect ratio: 16:9.
- Save your presentation in PPTX format (not PPSX or .ppt if avoidable) or PDF.
- Presentations must NOT be run from personal laptops.
Design Guidelines:
- Avoid non-standard fonts unless embedded. If using custom fonts, include them on your USB stick.
Images and Video:
- Use JPEG or PNG (medium/high quality). Avoid BMP or TIFF formats.
- Resolution between 72–144 dpi is sufficient.
- Video: Use MP4, MPG, AVI, or QuickTime. Limit to 50 MB if possible.
- Embedded videos must be tested on Windows PCs. Technical support is limited.
Apple/Mac/Linux Users:
- Always test your presentation on a PC with Microsoft Office before arriving.
- Save the file with a .pptx or .pdf extension to ensure compatibility.
Inspiration and Interaction:
- Encourage engagement – plan time for questions and interaction.
- Session chairs are instructed to enforce time limits strictly.
- Sessions generally include 6-8 speakers, with time divided evenly
On-site Organization
Submission Requirements:
- Upload your presentation at least half a day prior to your session.
- Bring all files on a USB stick (including media files and custom fonts).
- Presentations are uploaded centrally – no changes allowed once in the session room.
Technical Assistance:
- Technicians are available in the Speaker Ready Room – 33 to assist.
- All session rooms are equipped with PCs that match the setup in the preview room.
- Each room also has a volunteer for on-site support.

On the Day of Your Session
Before the Session
- Be present in the session room at least 15 minutes before your session begins.
- Introduce yourself to the session chairs, fellow speakers, and ISB2025 staff.
- Confirm how the chair will signal your remaining time.
- Familiarize yourself with the AV tools in the room.
- No changes to your presentation will be possible once in the session room.
- Each presentation will be allotted 8 minutes followed by 2 minutes for questions
